Cara Kayum, from Striders of Croydon, ran well to be the first woman to finish in the Dulwich parkrun on Saturday, completing the five-kilometre course in 19 minutes 32 seconds and placing 23rd overall. The previous week, Cara was the second woman to finish the Dartford Bridge 10 kilometre road race, running a personal best

Ernie Hann again led Striders of Croydon in the weekly parkrun at Lloyd Park on Saturday. He placed seventh out of 156 finishers and covered the undulating five-kilometre course in 19 minutes 01. Striders of Croydon hosted their 22nd annual Switchback cross-country race, over an undulating five-mile course in Lloyd Park and Addington Hills on Sunday. The race was won by Neil Reissland of Collingwood in 29 minutes 17, while the first woman was Clare Elms of Dulwich in 31 minutes 36. Striders’ Rachel Lindley ran very well
