Three runners from Striders of Croydon ran well against strong opposition in the South of the Thames Cross-Country Championships at Aldershot on Saturday. Four runners from Striders of Croydon competed against strong opposition in the British Masters five-kilometre road running championships, at Battersea Park on Sunday. Striders did particularly well in the M60 age-group, with two of the first five finishers. Matthew Stone ran well to place fourth in 18 minutes 12, which was just one second outside
