James Rhodes records a PB over 3,000m
James Rhodes, from Striders of Croydon, ran very well to record a new personal best of 9 minutes 33.62 seconds for 3000 metres in the Harrow AC Open Meeting on Thursday. He placed sixth in his heat, and his time was almost eight seconds quicker than his previous best, set at Wimbledon last September.
On Sunday, Peter Johnson ran the Staplehurst ‘End of Year’ 10-mile road race, delayed from December because of the Covid pandemic, in 71 minutes 33 seconds. He placed fifth in the over-50 category and 41st overall out of 200 finishers.
