Lorraine Hunt sets new club W65 100m record

Ally Whitlock, from Striders of Croydon, ran very well to be the first woman to finish the South Norwood parkrun on Saturday, placing 13th overall (22:50). Club colleague Tom Gillespie placed second of the 153 finishers (20:22), while Angela Seesurrun was the third woman to finish, placing 42nd overall (25:17). Consuelo Kennefick was the second woman to finish the Riddlesdown parkrun, placing 21st overall (22:44). Nadine Pryce was the fourth woman to finish the Bethlem Royal Hospital parkrun, placing 25th overall (25:31). Phil Coales was fourth out of 314 finishers in the Mile End parkrun (17:21), while Striders’ fastest time of the day came from Andrew Aitken, who was fifth out of 403 finishers in the Dulwich parkrun (17:19). Striders had a total of 97 finishers in the various weekly parkruns.

Lorraine Hunte had an excellent run in the Lee Valley Sprints Night on Wednesday evening. She set a new club W65 100 metre record of 17.69 seconds, placing fourth in her heat.

Striders had three finishers in the Lloyd junior parkrun on Sunday. Hasan Suruliz was 30th (10:42) with Elena Ambrosi 51st (11:59) and Anna Macenhill 53rd (12:05).
