5km’s, 10km’s, half-marathons & marathons…
Tatsuya Okamoto ran very well to place tenth out of 402 finishers in the Chelmsford Marathon. He completed the course in 2 hours 56 minutes 27. In the RunThrough Battersea Festival Half-Marathon, Simone Luciani ran well to place 23rd overall and third in the M40 age-group (1:19:44). In the RunThrough Battersea Festival Marathon, Jeremy Tonkin placed eighth in the M55 age-group (4:35:53). In the RunThrough 10K at the same venue, Joseph Ibe placed 68th out of 710 finishers (42:09).
On Saturday morning, Ellyw Evans ran well to be the first woman to finish the Urayasushi parkrun in Japan, placing fourth overall (21:28). Angela Seesurrun was the first woman to finish the South Norwood parkrun, placing 23rd overall (26:06). Cindy Siu was the second woman to finish the Lloyd parkrun, placing 20th overall (24:38). Susanna Lutman was the third woman to finish the South Norwood parkrun, placing 27th overall (27:10).
For Striders’ men, Simon Attridge placed second in the South Norwood parkrun (21:25). Erik Schrijnemaekers was third in the Gravesend Cyclopark parkrun (19:06). Matthew Stone was fourth in the Lloyd parkrun (20:41) with Steve Corfield fifth (20:54). Andy Perks was fourth in the East Grinstead parkrun (21:18). Christopher Finch was fifth in the Roundshaw parkrun (22:08). Striders had a total of 78 finishers in the various weekly parkruns.
Martin Filer placed 101st out of more than 1100 finishers in the Beachy Head Marathon (4:19:42). In the Kingston Half-Marathon, Marc Burrows placed 63rd in a personal best 1:25:50, and was followed by Sam O’Dongo (1:36:11) and Nicole Woods (2:19:40). Consuelo Kennefick completed the Valencia Half-Marathon in 1:42:53, while Stephen Allport completed the Oxford Half-Marathon in 1:40:55.
