New club M60 mile record

Four runners from Striders of Croydon competed in the Epsom & Ewell Harriers one mile track races, held at Ewell on Thursday evening. Their fastest time came from Phil Coales who placed fifth in the A race, recording 4 minutes 45.1. Steve Corfield ran very well to set a new club M60 record of 5:20.5, placing second in his race. Peter Johnson ran 5:43.0, while Darren Woods ran 6:12.0.

On Saturday morning, Erik Schrijnemaekers ran well to place first out of 118 finishers in the Barking parkrun (17:59). Nathan Robertshaw was second out of 163 finishers at the Aberystwyth parkrun (17:57). Martin Filer was second out of 111 finishers in the Riddlesdown parkrun (19:23). Steve Corfield was second out of 138 finishers in the Lloyd parkrun (19:52). Phil Coales was second out of 157 finishers in the Durlston parkrun in Dorset (20:59). Cindy Siu was the fourth woman to finish the Lloyd parkrun, placing 33rd overall (24:52). Sheena Hammond was the fifth woman to finish the Limepark parkrun at Armoy in Northern Ireland, placing 34th overall (30:04). Striders had a total of 99 finishers in the various weekly parkruns.
