    Phil Coales, from Striders of Croydon, ran well to place second out of 339 finishers in the Brockwell parkrun on Saturday. He completed the five-kilometre course in 17 minutes 22. Daniel Finch was second out of 91 finishers in the Lancing Beach Green parkrun (20:32), while his brother Christopher Finch placed fifth (21:35). Lee Flanagan was third out of 142 finishers in the Lloyd parkrun (19:51), while club colleague Steve Corfield was fourth (20:26). Cindy Siu was the third female finisher, placing 25th overall (25:05), while Debra Bourne was the fifth female finisher, placing 32nd overall (26:46).

    Erik Schrijnemaekers was third out of 97 finishers in the Kingdom parkrun at Penshurst in Kent (20:24). Andrew Aitken was fourth out of 575 finishers in the Bromley parkrun (17:06). Andy Perks was fifth out of 75 finishers in the Bethlem Royal Hospital parkrun (20:58). Striders had a total of 95 finishers in the various weekly parkruns.

    In the Cabbage Patch 10-mile road race at Twickenham on Sunday, Martin Filer placed 12th in the M45 age-group and 107th overall out of 1506 finishers, recording 62 minutes 11. Further afield, Chris Green completed the Ljubljana Marathon in Slovenia in 3:58:34, while Maili Singh completed the Amsterdam Half-Marathon in 1:55:56.

    Also on Sunday, Zoe Siu was the first female finisher in the Lloyd junior parkrun, placing third overall (08:55). It was her 250th junior parkrun, having made her debut in January 2018.
