Lee Flanagan, from Striders of Croydon, followed his victory in last week’s Switchback race with an excellent run to place tenth out of more than 1300 finishers in the Barns Green Half-Marathon on Sunday. He covered the undulating course in a personal best 77 minutes 51 seconds, lifting him to 13th place in Striders’ all-time rankings. Further down the field, club chairman Robin Jamieson set a new club over-65 record of 1 hour 49 minutes 05, placing 13th in his age-group.
