Busy Krzysztof’s hat-trick for Striders
Krzysztof Klidzia, from Striders of Croydon, ran very well to win the weekly parkrun in Lloyd Park on Saturday morning, covering the muddy five-kilometre course in 19 minutes 34 seconds, and finishing 91 seconds ahead of his nearest challenger. Club colleague Natalie Osher was the third woman to finish, placing 28th overall in 28 minutes 29. Simon Ambrosi was fourth in the Banstead parkrun (19.02) and Richard Lee-Smith was sixth in the Crystal Palace parkrun (20.10). Striders had a total of 27 finishers in the various local parkruns.
Krzysztof then ran two legs in the East Surrey League cross country relays taking place a few hours later. The relays took place on a muddy course at Wimbledon Common and Striders’ three evenly-match teams of four runners finished in 4th, 6th and 7th places out of a total of 20 teams.
