Lee, Simon and Colin battle it out at Lloyd Park for Striders
Striders of Croydon had four of the first five finishers in the weekly parkrun in Lloyd Park on Saturday morning. Lee Flanagan led them home in second place, covering the undulating course in 18 minutes 46 seconds. Simon Ambrosi was third (18.58) and Colin Hann was fourth (19.19). Matt Stone ran well to place fifth overall and first in the over-50 category (19.23).
Meanwhile Krzysztof Klidzia, who recently ran the Isle of Mull Half-Marathon in 80 minutes 29 seconds, placed second in the Crystal Palace parkrun, recording 18 minutes 08. Justin Macenhill was ninth in the Bromley parkrun (18.24). Becky Laurence was the fourth woman to finish the Riddlesdown parkrun, recording 22 minutes 06. Striders had a total of 47 finishers in the various weekly parkruns.
