Graeme leads Striders at High Elms race
Striders of Croydon produced some good performances at the High Elms 10-kilometre race organised by Orpington Road Runners on Sunday. They were led by Graeme Drysdale, who placed 20th of the 333 finishers in 44 minutes 30. Andy Perks was 26th in 44 minutes 58, just one second and one place ahead of club secretary Chris Morton.
On the previous day Damian Macenhill was fourth in the Bromley parkrun (18.58), while triathlete Mark Bayliss was fifth in the Riddlesdown parkrun (19.33) and John Punt was fifth in the Lloyd parkrun (20.37). Striders had a total of 43 competitors in the various weekly parkruns (23 at Lloyd Park and 20 at other venues).
