The second annual ‘mob match’ between local rivals Croydon Harriers and Striders of Croydon took place on Saturday, in conjunction with the weekly parkrun in Lloyd Park. For the second successive year Harriers had the individual winner, but Striders’ superior strength in depth gave them victory in the team event, by 2608 points to 1952.

Striders of Croydon produced an excellent team performance to win their mobmatch against Wimbledon Windmilers, for the Helen Furze Memorial Trophy, in conjunction with the weekly parkrun at Nonsuch Park on Saturday. Krzysztof Klidzia, from Striders of Croydon, ran well to place 13th out of 217 finishers in the Epsom 10-mile road race on Sunday, recording 62 minutes 50 seconds.
