Striders of Croydon staged their 30th annual Switchback five-mile race in Lloyd Park and Addington Hills on Sunday. There was a record total of 165 finishers. Striders of Croydon faced strong opposition in the women’s Rosenheim Shield Final, at Kingsmeadow on Wednesday evening. Their best placing came from Nikki Javan who was fourth in the 3000 metres (13:28.74). She also placed sixth in the 1500 metres (6:27.57). Jay Brzask-Makiela placed fifth in the hurdles in a new club record of 43.25.
Nathan Robertshaw, from Striders of Croydon, ran very well to place first out of 176 finishers in the Roundshaw parkrun on Saturday, recording 18 minutes 03.
