Three runners from Striders of Croydon won gold medals in the London Masters Track & Field Championships, held at Tooting on Saturday. Striders of Croydon faced strong opposition in the women’s Rosenheim Shield Final, at Kingsmeadow on Wednesday evening. Their best placing came from Nikki Javan who was fourth in the 3000 metres (13:28.74). She also placed sixth in the 1500 metres (6:27.57). Jay Brzask-Makiela placed fifth in the hurdles in a new club record of 43.25.

Simone Luciani, from Striders of Croydon, had an excellent run to place second out of 231 finishers in the RunThrough 10 kilometre road race at the Olympic Park in Stratford on Wednesday evening. His time of 33 minutes 13 seconds was a personal best, and lifts him to fifth place in Striders’ all-time club rankings.
James Rhodes, from Striders of Croydon, had an excellent run in the Stan Allen Mile, organised by Herne Hill Harriers at Tooting Bec on Saturday.
