Krzysztof flies the flag for Striders at Scottish half marathon
Krzysztof Klidzia, from Striders of Croydon, ran very well to place fifth in the recent Isle of Mull Half-Marathon in a new club over-50 record of 80 minutes 38 seconds.
In the World Masters Championships in Lyon on Sunday, Alan Dolton placed 36th in the M55 half-marathon in 1 hour 43 minutes 52.
Striders held their annual triathlon championship on Thursday. Paul Finch won in 30 minutes 53, with Greg Williams second (30.58) and Mark Bayliss third (31.46). The first woman was Carolyn Storey (41.50), with Helen Rees second (44.09).
Justin Macenhill ran well to finish second in the weekly parkrun in Lloyd Park on Saturday, recording 19 minutes 16, while John Punt was fourth (20.29). Martin Filer was fifth in the Riddlesdown parkrun (19.22), while Becky Laurence was the third woman to finish, placing 34th overall (22.49). Simon Ambrosi was fifth in the Bromley parkrun (18.00). Striders had a total of 40 finishers in the various weekly parkruns (15 at Lloyd Park and 25 at other venues).
