Krzysztof wins Roundshaw parkrun
51-year-old Krzysztof Klidzia, from Striders of Croydon, was first home at the Roundshaw parkrun on Saturday, beating all his younger rivals and covering the five-kilometre course in 18 minutes 25 seconds. Simon Ambrosi finished third in the Lloyd parkrun (18.42) with Justin Macenhill fourth (19.02). Selena Wong was the second woman to finish the Riddlesdown parkrun, placing 41st overall (23.44). Striders had a total of 57 finishers at the various weekly parkruns (19 at Lloyd Park and 38 at other venues).
At the Cranleigh 21-mile road race on Sunday, Striders were led by Louise Grech who finished in 3 hours 19 minutes 29. Gemma Halliday was next home in 3 hours 24 minutes 52.
This Sunday (2nd) Striders will be promoting the seventh annual Croydon Half-Marathon, from their headquarters at Sandilands.
