Linda Daniel 1st W60 in the Winchester Half-Marathon

Steve Corfield ran very well to finish first in the M60 age group, and 34th overall out of 225 finishers, in the Serpentine Running Club five-kilometre road race at Hyde Park on Friday. He completed the course in exactly 18 minutes.

On Saturday morning, Martin Filer was second in the Riddlesdown parkrun (18:48). At the same time, Consuelo Kennefick was the second woman to finish, placing 18th overall (22:24). Ellyw Evans was the second woman to finish the South Norwood parkrun, placing 18th overall (22:04). At the same time, Cindy Siu was the third woman to finish, placing 41st overall (23:52). There were fourth places for Simon Ambrosi in the South Norwood parkrun (19:17) and Simon Webster in the Georgengarten parkrun in Hanover (19:59). Striders’ fastest time of the day came from Jay Lidbetter, who was seventh out of 689 finishers in the Dulwich parkrun (15:56). Striders had a total of 91 finishers in the various weekly parkruns.

In the East Grinstead 10K on Sunday, Andy Perks ran well to place second in the M50 age group and 12th overall out of 355 finishers, recording 40 minutes 46. Club colleague Hannah Luffman was 317th (69:45).

Linda Daniel was first in the W60 age group in the Winchester Half-Marathon, placing 407th overall out of 614 finishers in 2 hours 09 minutes 46.
