One-two for Striders’ Hann brothers at Lloyd Park

For the second successive week, Striders of Croydon had the first three finishers in the weekly parkrun at Lloyd Park on Saturday. Ernie Hann, who had finished runner-up to club colleague Krzysztof Klidzia the previous week, went one better this week by taking first place, covering the undulating course in 19 minutes 45 seconds. His brother Colin Hann followed him in second place, only just ahead of Striders’ leading woman Rachel Lindley, who finished strongly to place third, with both runners recording 19 minutes 53 seconds. Striders’ Sam O’Dongo also ran well to place fifth in 20 minutes 49 seconds.
Meanwhile Becky Laurence was the first woman to finish at the Riddlesdown parkrun (25.01), with club colleague Selena Wong placing second (25.05). Matt Morgan was second in the Alice Holt parkrun (19.28), while Simon Ambrosi was fourth in the Bromley parkrun (18.17). Striders had a total of 43 finishers in the various weekly parkruns.
