    Daniel Finch, from Striders of Croydon, ran very well to place second out of 47 finishers in the Bethlem Royal Hospital parkrun on Saturday, completing the very wet five-kilometre course in 21 minutes 20. His younger brother Thomas Finch placed fourth (22:41). Justin Macenhill placed fourth out of 100 finishers in the South Norwood parkrun (21:43), while Peter Laurence placed fourth out of 67 finishers in the Riddlesdown parkrun (22:28). Marc Burrows was fifth out of 143 finishers in the Lordship Recreation Ground parkrun in Tottenham (19:14). Striders’ best female placing came from Debra Bourne who was the 16th woman to finish the Burley Griffin parkrun in Australia, placing 91st out of 340 finishers (25:54). Striders had a total of 71 finishers in the various weekly parkruns, including 17 at Lloyd Park where the parkrun went ahead as usual although the scheduled South of England cross-country races were cancelled because of the wet and windy weather.

    On Sunday morning, Zoe Siu was the second female finisher in the Lloyd junior parkrun, placing fifth overall out of 29 finishers (9:39).
