Conor O’Hara-Barrett, from Striders of Croydon, ran well to place second out of 217 finishers in the Lloyd parkrun on Saturday, completing the undulating five-kilometre course in 19 minutes 48. Club colleague Lee Flanagan was fifth (20:26) with Steve Corfield sixth (20:28) and Nathan Robertshaw seventh (20:50). Cindy Siu was the third woman to finish, placing 48th overall (25:22).
Elsewhere, Paul Finch was third out of 85 finishers in the Bethlem Royal Hospital parkrun (20:49). Alex Legge was the fourth woman to finish the Basildon parkrun, placing 33rd overall (25:53). Selena Wong was the fourth woman to finish the Riddlesdown parkrun, placing 38th overall (26:23). Marc Burrows was sixth out of 413 finishers at the Torrens parkrun in South Australia (19:05). Striders’ fastest time of the day came from Erik Schrijnemaekers, who was 89th out of 1274 finishers in the Battersea parkrun (18:18).
Striders had a total of 105 finishers in the various weekly parkruns, including 24 at Lloyd Park and 14 at Battersea, where Steve Massey became the eleventh member of Striders to complete 500 parkruns.
In the Brighton 10-mile race on Sunday, Lee Roberts was 184th out of 669 finishers (1:21:13), while Alex Legge was 203rd (1:22:21). Earlier in the day, Zoe Siu was the second female finisher in the Lloyd junior parkrun, placing fifth overall (9:06).
