parkruns & Half Marathons

On Sunday, James Rhodes from Striders of Croydon had an excellent run at the Wokingham Half Marathon Sunday finishing in 1 hour, 14 minutes and 38 seconds beating his personal best and placing him 8th in the Striders all-time men rankings.

At the Brighton Half Marathon, Catherine Jarvis was the first Strider over the line in 1 hour, 54 minutes and 12 seconds, followed by Sheena Hammond in 2 hours, 9 minutes and 29 seconds.

At the London Winter Run 10K Striders had 4 finishers, Craig Smith (45:15), Mark Stanford (48:19), Chris Codner (55:53) and Sally Bartlett (59:16).

Later in the day Stephen Massey completed the Regent’s Park 10K in 46 minutes and 7 seconds.

Saturday, Lottie Nusca completed the Battersea Park 10k (45:57) along with Alistair Homer (59:06).

Striders had 92 finishers in the various weekly Parkruns. Niamh Vincent was 1st Female at South Norwood (22:56), Stephen Kennefick 2nd at Roundshaw Downs (32:34), Lee Flanagan 2nd at Lloyd Park (19:58) and Cindy Woo 3rd Female (25:16),Consuelo Kennefick 1st Female at Riddlesdown (24:03) with Martin Filter overall 2nd (20:52).
