Rachel keeps getting faster at local race
Rachel Lindley, from Striders of Croydon, ran very well to be the first woman to finish in the weekly parkrun in Lloyd Park on Saturday. She beat most of her male rivals, finishing fourth overall and covering the undulating course in 20 minutes 11 seconds. Striders’ men were led by Gearoid Quigley who placed fifth (20.23) with club colleague Simon Webster sixth (20.39) and veteran Geoff Pennells 13th (21.36). Serena Stracey was the third woman to finish, placing 32nd overall (24.29). Striders had a total of 32 finishers in the various local parkruns.
