Tatsuya Okamoto places fourth in the 10km trail race at Farthing Downs
Tatsuya Okamoto, from Striders of Croydon, ran well to place fourth out of 82 finishers in the 10-kilometre trail race promoted by South London Harriers at Farthing Downs on Thursday. In hot conditions, he completed the undulating course in 39 minutes 51 seconds. Club colleague Alastair Falconer was seventh (41:01), with Martin Filer 33rd (46:32) and Steph Upton 40th (49:09). Two days later, Tatsuya placed first out of 108 finishers in the Roundshaw Downs parkrun, recording 18 minutes 23. Alex Legge was the second woman to finish, placing 38th overall (26:11). Simon Ambrosi was second at the South Norwood parkrun (20:00) with Graeme Drysdale close behind in third (20:02). Darren Woods was third at the Lullingstone parkrun (21:41), while Sheena Hammond was the third woman to finish, placing 13th overall (29:20). Steph Upton was the third woman to finish the Riddlesdown parkrun, placing 25th overall (22:09). Striders had a total of 51 finishers in the various weekly parkruns.
